Obituary
Passed away peacefully, with family by her side, on May 6, 2023, at Haliburton Extendicare, two months after celebrating her 100th birthday. Predeceased by her devoted husband, Arthur (1995).
Loving mother of Marie (John), and Richard (Gabrielle). Grandma of Michael, Jennifer (Ryan), and William. Great Grandma of Josiah, Isaac, Olivia, Ashton, and Brooks.
Louise grew up and raised her family in St. Catharines and Niagara Falls. They cottaged for many years on Big Glamor Lake instilling the love of being in cottage country to her family. She moved to Barrie in 2008 and then to Haliburton in 2016 to be closer to family. She had a love for learning and helping others through her service for many years as a Unity Church Minister in the Niagara area. She also loved music, art, and dancing.
The family wishes to express a sincere thank you to the staff of Extendicare Haliburton where Louise lived out the final years of her long life.
Celebration Of Life
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at the HALIBURTON CURLING CLUB 730 Mountain Street, Haliburton from 11:00 a.m. until 2:30 pm, with service at 11:30 .a.m. In Lieu of Flowers, donations to Proud Pioneers at Extendicare Haliburton or to the Haliburton 4C’s Food Bank would be greatly appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the HALIBURTON COMMUNITY FUNERAL HOME 13523 Hwy. #118, Haliburton, Ontario (705) 457-9209.
