Lorraine Mason of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the age of 93 years.
Lorraine is survived by her sons, Don (Nicole) and Brian (Angela). She was predeceased by her husband Sid, parents James and Anne Walton, brother Jim and sister Diane.
Other than being the best wife and mom ever, Lorraine worked as an administrator in the insurance industry in her early years, with Chubb Mosler & Taylor, the U of C Student Health Services, and the U of C Employee Relations department.
As a young woman, Lorraine enjoyed horseback riding, snow skiing, water skiing, and working in the garden, to name a few. Mom was an accomplished seamstress and a great cook!
Lorraine and Sid did a lot traveling with their motorhome and camping with their Winnebago group and kept journals of all their adventures.
At mom’s request no service will be held, a private graveside service will be held at a later date.
If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to a charity of your choice.
Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed with Lorraine’s family here.
