Lorraine Eberhard of Flin Flon, Manitoba passed away Monday, June 24, 2024 at the Northern Lights Manor at the age of 99 years.
A Celebration of Life for Lorraine Eberhard will be held Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. from Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Lorraine was born in Markinch, Saskatchewan to John and Eva Wenhardt. She grew up on a farm near Southey, Sask. and after attending Luther College in Regina for Grade 11 and 12, became a registered nurse at the Gray Nuns Hospital. During WWII, she worked in various nursing roles, including stints in Hay River, N.W.T.
Lorraine met Harry Eberhard in Windsor, Ontario, and they married on May 19, 1951. They had two children, Margarette Jane and Keith James. Lorraine worked at the Gray Nuns Hospital and later at Pioneer Village Senior’s Complex.
After Harry retired they moved to Canora, Sask. to help their son, Keith with his ministry. They later moved to Winnipeg in 2003. In 2023, Lorraine moved to Flin Flon where Margarette was able to support her care in a PCH.
Lorraine committed her life to Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior as a young child. She continued to pursue a relationship with him for the rest of her life. She served in various capacities in the Church, Bible studies, missions, prayer activities, and caring for others in various ways.
Lorraine’s love of the outdoors was evidenced with gardening, picnics, trips to lakes and parks, summers at the cottage and camping. Her seemingly endless energy resulted in crafting activities including sewing and crocheting.
Lorraine is remembered for a cheerful attitude and her faith.
Lorraine is survived by her daughter Margarette (Stewart), Peter (Janice, children: Sophia, Rebecca, Chelsea) and Timothy (son: Declen)
Her late son Keith’s family, (Susan, children: Deborah (Danny, children: Arwen, Maximus, Addison), Nancy (Jason, son: Hartley), Benjamin (Fanny, children Cyrus, Keziah, Elisha), and Tanya (Matthew, children: Lily-Anna, Rosalie).
