LORNE FEDORUK
Lorne Fedoruk, age 82, passed away in hospital with family & friends by his side on Jan. 24 th ,
2023.
Lorne was born on Nov. 14 th 1940 in Port Arthur. He worked for Provincial Papers Inc. as the
Superintendent for Quality Assurance until his retirement.
He met his love Judy in 1964 and they were married on Feb 13 th 1965. They both love travelling and
seeing the world together. Over the years they travelled to China, Vietnam, Thailand, Belize, & many
more.
One of Lorne’s life passions was hockey. He spent a large part of his life mentoring & coaching youth
hockey. He was a lifelong Toronto Maple Leafs fan but in recent years became a devoted fan of the
Winnipeg Jets. Last year he was able to attend a Jets home game and he was more excited than child
watching them in person.
Lorne was most happy tinkering in his gardens and spending time with his family and friends who were
the center of his universe.
He is survived by his wife Judy; sons Dean, Blair (Debbie), Ryan, Matthew (Nadine); grandchildren Isaiah,
Lucy, Krista; great granddaughter Sharayne and sister Eleanor. He was predeceased by loving
granddaughter Abigail.
We would like to thank the doctors and nurses at TBRHSC, especially those in ICU, for the loving care &
compassion they provided to Lorne and our family during his last days.
As per Lorne’s wishes there will be no service. A celebration of life is planned for August , 2023.
In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to the heart and stroke foundation.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpler Times Cremation Centre, 575 Central Avenue, Thunder Bay.
