Passed away peacefully at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Friday, June 16, 2023, Lorne Finniss of Chesterville, age 86. Loving husband of Marion Finniss (nee Code) for almost 62 years. Loving father of Carl (Diane LeBlanc) of St-Andre-Avellin, P.Q., Brian (Tara) of Guelph and Paul of Napanee. Dear brother of Mabel Colpitts (late Lloyd) of Sus, N.B., Ruth Charlton (late Russell) of Apohaqui, N.B. and Earl of Sus. N.B.. Lorne will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Christopher (Kelly McHenry), Patrick (Laura), Matthew (Amanda), Riley, Morgan, Connor and his great-grandchildren Madeleine, Theodore, Sadie, Allison and Adrian. He was predeceased by his parents LeBaron and Meta Finniss (nee Long) and his brother Burpee (Elaine). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral Arrangements
Friends may call at the Marsden McLaughlin Funeral Home in Chesterville on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Christ Church United in Chesterville on Friday, June 23rd at 11 a.m. A reception will follow at the Church. Inurnment will be at Iroquois Point Cemetery. Donations to Christ Church United would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
