Passed away suddenly at home on Friday, February 10, 2023, Lorne Doolan of Chesterville, age 83. Devoted husband of Elsie Doolan (nee Kowalyk) for 62 years. Loving father of Shawn Doolan of Winchester, Natalia Morrison (Allan) of Hong Kong, Charlotte Doolan of Winchester, Lorna Doolan (Jon Speek) of Crysler and Nicholas Doolan (Kristina) of South Dundas. Dear brother of Fernie Beck of Vancouver, Roger Beck (Mary-Lou) of Vancouver and Tony Beck of Vancouver. Lorne will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Eric, John, Robyn, Larry (Vanessa), Emily, Olivia, Julia and his great-grandchildren Riley, Blake, Gavin, Dylin, Connor, Cain and Cassidy. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Lorne was well known for his gentleness, good humour, abundant kindness and his lifelong desire to learn.
Funeral Arrangements
A private family service will be held. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
