Lori Huber, late of Regina, SK, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023, at the age of 67 years. Lori was predeceased by her parents, Lillian and Gordon Schultz. She is survived by her husband, Rick; children, Amy and Michael; special friends, Debbie and Drew Wilkie; and many more friends and relatives.
Lori grew up in Regina and attended high school at Campbell Collegiate. She was an accomplished pianist, having achieved her grade 8 in piano. Early in her marriage she took on several students and enjoyed teaching.
Lori worked at SGI for over 35 years in the Underwriting departments, and later as a Business Analyst for the GIS system. She retired in January of 2011.
In retirement she got to spend several months of the year in sunnier climates, usually in the city of Mazatlán, MX. Two Schnauzers, Dexter and Willie, were usually part of the trip. Warmer temperatures, sunnier days, no snow, and walking on the beach with the dogs were Lori’s favourite things in life. Friends would always remember her favourite question – “Who’s up for going to Tony’s on the Beach?”
The family would like to thank the Doctors and Care Givers at the Pasqua Hospital on unit 4B for taking such good care of Lori. A special thanks to Janice and the staff in Palliative Care, who also looked after her during her final days. For all, a hard job done well.
