Loretta L. Lauper Age 87 of Big Flats, NY passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Skilled Nursing Home on Saturday November 18, 2023. Loretta was born February 14, 1936 in Corning, NY the daughter of the late Rudolph Carl Lauper and Marguerite Wagner Lauper. In addition to her parents she was pre-deceased by her siblings Donald Wilcox, Rudy Lauper Jr. , Mary and Jim Norris , Geraldine DeWert , and Virginia Provorse. Loretta had worked at Woolworth’s , Fanny Farmer’s, and retired from Denny’s Sub Shop in Big Flats, NY. She was a long-time member of The Big Flats Wesleyan Church «The Bridge» , loved playing cards with family and friends , doing puzzles, and crocheting. Loretta was a life-long New York Yankees Fan, supported Little League Baseball , and was a supporter and volunteer for Operation Christmas Child. She loved her family and friends and treasured the time she spent with them. Loretta is survived by her children Donald & Deborah Lauper of Corning, NY , Kevin Lauper of Big Flats , NY , Brian «Red» Lauper of Big Flats, NY, Michael Lauper of Melrose, Florida , Annetta Lauper of Big Flats, NY , and Ricky & Debbie Lauper of Big Flats, NY ; grandchildren: Dawson Lauper of Melrose, Florida and Violet Staines of Naples , Florida ; brother and sister-in-law : Harold & Ann Lauper of Horseheads, NY; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of caring friends. Loretta’s family would like to thanks the entire staff of St. Joseph’s Skilled Nursing Unit 3C for their kind and loving care given to Loretta. Relatives and friends are invited to call at The Big Flats Wesleyan Church » The Bridge» 561 Maple Street Big Flats, NY on Thursday November 30, 2023 from 5 to 7 PM. Loretta’s Funeral Service will be held following calling hours with her Pastor Alex Ruffer officiating. Loretta will be laid to rest in Rural Home Cemetery in Big Flats, NY on Friday December 1, 2023 at 11 AM. In Lieu of flowers , those wishing may remember Loretta through memorials to The Big Flats Wesleyan Church «The Bridge» 561 Maple Street Big Flats, NY 14814.
