Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lorenzo Daddato on August 24, 2024 at St. Peter’s Hospital, in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Lena Daddato (nee Traina) of 51 years and dear father of Milli and Maria. Predeceased by his parents, Ignazio and Camilla, and in-laws, Salvatore and Maria. Brother to Rosetta (late Domenico); predeceased by his siblings, Vincenza (late Giovanni), Carlo (Renata), Vito (Franca), Peppino (Lucia) and nephew, Nicola. He will be missed by his nieces, nephews and extended family in Canada, Italy and Germany. Lorenzo was born in Sammichele di Bari, Puglia (Italy) and immigrated by boat to Canada in 1967. He settled in Hamilton where he diligently worked in his profession as a tailor. He enjoyed gardening, making tomato sauce and wine and watching soccer games. He was the life of the party and enjoyed making his friends and family laugh. Visitation will be held at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL (43 Barton Street East) on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at 10a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Entombment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery (54 Garner Road West). In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to The Cancer Assistance Program of Hamilton (cancerassist.ca). Thank you to the nurses of Bayshore, especially nurse Sandy, for her care of Lorenzo during his illness.
