ANANIA, Lorenzo Concezio – Gone to be with his Angel grandson Matthew Daniele (2001) and Angel great-grandson Issac Phillips (2012), Lorenzo passed away peacefully, surrounded by his wife and daughters at his side, at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Monday June 12, 2023 at the age of 95. Beloved husband of 70 years to Rosina (nee Currado) and cherished father of Anna (Bruce) Phillips, Fran (Fred) Martellotti, Betty (Bruce) Riley and Bruna (Michael) Daniele. Loving Nonno of Jennifer Phillips, Michael Phillips (Margeaux Levesque), Steven (Jessica) Phillips, Michael Martellotti, Christina (Ryan) Kean, Amanda Riley (Dave O’Rourke), Philip (Mona) Riley, Christopher Daniele and ‘Big’ Nonno of Zander, Marley, Rowan, Brendan, Taylor, Aria and Asher. He will be fondly remembered by his siblings John (Giovannina) Anania, Concetta Molinaro, Elizabetta Vono, sister-in-law Zina (Frank) Desando, as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Vincenzo and Anna (nee Bilotta) Anania, brothers Paolo Anania, Giuseppe Anania, Domenico Anania, Albino Anania and brothers-in-law Pietro Vono, Pietro Molinaro. Lorenzo was a hardworking family man. He loved gardening, was a big Toronto Maple Leafs fan, and will be remembered for his great, dry sense of humor. Friends are invited to join the family at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, visiting Thursday June 15, 2023 from 6 to 8 pm, Friday June 16, 2023 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday June 17, 2023 at 10:30 am at St. Patrick’s Church, with the Rite of Committal to follow at Fairview Mausoleum. In memory of Lorenzo, memorial contributions may be made to The Matthew Daniele Memorial Fund, and would be appreciated. Online condolences at pattersonfuneralhome.com
