Peacefully, on Sunday, April 28, 2024, in her ninety-fifth year. Wife of the late Alvin Pearson and the late Murray Fainer. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Steve and Rosalind Pearson, Howard and Sharon Pearson, Barbara and Henry Schnurbach. Adored Grandma Lois of Shannon and Jeff Dalfen, Jordana Pearson; Joshua and Maria Pearson, Benji and Lauren Melamed; Samara and Brandon Bell, Genna and Eric Goldberg. Proud Great-Grandma Lois of Madeleine Lyla, Charlie Aron, Samuel Isaac, Eloise Amelia, Davi Aaron, Amiel Jacob, Amelia Joy, Teddy Jack, Addison Moe, and Isabelle Brodie. Devoted and loving sister of Arlene Smith and her partner, Michael Browning. Lois will be dearly missed by her family and friends. The family would like to acknowledge with sincerest gratitude Carmen Niez for her unwavering love and devotion. Special thanks to the 5th floor staff of Kastner Pavilion of the Jewish Eldercare Centre, as well as the doctors, nurses, and staff of K9 and the Jewish General Hospital. Graveside service on Wednesday, May 1 at 10:00 a.m. at the Beth Ora Congregation Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O. Shiva at the 2nd floor Hope Pavilion of the Jewish Eldercare Centre, 5750 rue Lavoie, Wednesday from 12:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Evening services at 7:30 p.m. Contributions in Lois’s memory may be made to the Jewish Hospital of Hope Eldercare Foundation, (514) 738-4500 ext.: 2124.
