We are sad to announce the passing of our father Lloyd Eric Stainton.
Predeceased by his loving wife of 52 years Sandra (Candler) Stainton. Amazing father to Suzanne (Carl Fallis) and Paul (Julie Baker). Loved grandfather of Samantha (Stephen Thickett), Jenna (Justin Lockhart), Nadean (Steve Forbes) and Paula (predeceased). Brother of John Stainton (Helen) (both deceased) and Jean Brown (Robert deceased).
Lloyd started delivering milk as a young man driving a horse and wagon. He worked at Glen Rae Dairy and Beatrice Dairy. He spent his early years on Carlisle Avenue and Church Street. These were the times that he remembered most fondly. Lloyd most recently enjoyed his time playing cards at the Bowmanville Older Adults Centre where he renewed old friendships and made new ones.
A Celebration of Lloyd’s life will be held at ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION, Branch 178 109 King Street East on Friday March 10th from 7 – 11 pm (Upper Hall). Arrangements entrusted to NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville. Memorial Donations may be made to Bowmanville Memorial Hospital Foundation.
