Lloyd Blight Obituary
Blight, Lloyd ….passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side at Hospice Quinte on Thursday January 18th, 2024 in his 85th year. Lloyd, a member of the Quinte West Sports Hall of Fame, was the loving best friend for 54 years and beloved husband for 50 years of the late Lorraine Blight (nee Spence). He is the amazing and loving father to Andrea & James Berry, Linda & Scott Russell, Julie & Dave Avery and father in law of the late Chris Silver. He is the proud Papa to Lorol Avery (Vincent Szenteckzki), Andrew Avery, Liam and Bridget Russell.
He is survived by his siblings Vivian Blight & the late Garnet Davis, Clara & Frank DePaolo, Janine & David Parsonson, Lois Blight & Mike Horsburgh, Tim Blight, as well as his many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Brother in law of Linda & David Prud’homme, Carol & Ted Dyer, Iva Spence & Barry Lake and the late Wayne Spence.
Friends are invited to visitation at the Weaver Family Funeral Home – East Chapel, 29 Bay St., Trenton on Tuesday January 23rd, 2024 from 10-11AM. Lloyd’s life will be celebrated in the East Chapel at 11AM. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Hospice Quinte would be appreciated by the family.
