Llewella Marie (Davies) Anderson
June 29, 1948 – June 7, 2024
Llewella passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Friday, June 7, 2024 with her loving family by her side.
Born in Mrs. Daniels’ nursing home in Pierson, Manitoba, she was Dave and Jean Davies’ only daughter. Llewella was predeceased by her mom (Jean), dad (Dave), father-in-law (William Jr.), mother-in-law (Margaret), granddaughter Talia Livingston, and sister-in-law Brenda.
Left to mourn is her husband of 55 years Barry Anderson, son Gregory (Jacqueline), daughters Kimberly (Robert Livingston) and Sue Ellen (John Combatti), grandchildren Linsday (Logan Runke), Jordan, Seth, Natashia, Matteo, Emma, and Jayden, great-grandchildren Maci, Radley, and Elliot, brothers Delnor (Grace), Rodney, and Murray (Joyce), nieces Danielle (Chase Howden) and JaysaLee, nephews Brock (Breena), Jared, and Landon, great-nephew Kesler, cousins and friends.
She met Barry when she was 16 years old in Pierson, and was the love of his life. Right after graduating she started working at the Royal Bank and she worked at many different branches. On October 12, 1968, she married Barry and started a new life and lived on the Anderson farm. She was involved in 4-H even when she was a kid, as well as with her own kids. She was also a chaperone for a 4-H exchange trip to Toronto. She also volunteered in hockey club, precision skating, and at the hall. She cherished curling with her son, Gregory.
Later in life Llewella worked at the hospital in many different roles and eventually went for her Level 2 in dietary aid and cooked in the hospital. At 53 she took the health care aide course at ACC with her daughter Sue Ellen. After graduation she worked in home care and personal care homes. The love of the lake drew them to Sandy Lake, where she worked in the PCH until retirement in 2015. Her beautiful yard and flowers were her passion, as were their trips to Arizona to visit her cousin Sylvia. She had her grandchildren and great-grandchildren down each summer to enjoy swimming lessons, snake dens and hunting for northern lights. There were so many more adventures. Her daughter Kim got her to try kayaking and hiking the “top of the world”.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her. We thank you, Llewella, for everything you did!
There will be a private family memorial service held at a later date.
