We are saddened to announce the of passing our dear husband, father, uncle, grandfather and friend, Lindsay Allen Stark, who passed away peacefully on January 4th, 2024. Born on May 13, 1947, Lindsay was the youngest son of Henry and Ethel (Bremner) Stark. During his childhood he enjoyed playing hockey, trout fishing with his cousins and friends and spending time with his father. During his youth he was employed at the Digby Pines golf course where he caddied for hockey legends such as Gordie Howe, Jean Beliveau and Maurice Richard. He later worked at the Britex Elastic Plant and spent some time scallop fishing which led to a long employment at O’Neil Fisheries. A kind and quiet man, known for his hard work and dedication, Lindsay was always willing to help family and friends. He retired in 2011 enabling him to spend more time with family and friends and enjoy his favorite country and bluegrass music. Lindsay is survived by his wife Susan (Chute); son Ian (Melissa) of Hammonds Plains; granddaughters Gabrielle and Charlize; grandson Frederick; brother Daniel (Rena) Stark of Digby; sisters Shirley Stark of Halifax and Marilyn Hardy of Paradise. Predeceased by brother Ronald Stark of Weymouth. Cremation has taken place. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
