Steckley, Linda (nee Campbell)
A resident of Chatham, Linda Steckley peacefully passed away with her family by her side at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at the age of 86.
She was the daughter of the late Glen Campbell & Marian (nee Case) Haskell (the late Ted).
Reunited with her late husband Earl Steckley & twin sister, Glenda Kish & sister, Iris Hellam.
Sister of Jim Haskell.
Remembered always by her children, Terry Buckland, Rick Buckland, Todd Buckland, & Tammy Gartner (John).
Grandma of Tyler Buckland (Andrea), Samantha Buckland (Jordan), Cody Swain (Haylee), Nicole O’Rourke (Gary), Kyle Gartner (Sheila), & Lacey Allen (Justin).
Predeceased by grandson, Lee Buckland (2020).
Great-grandmother to many.
Missed by many nieces, nephews & extended family.
Dear friend to Gayle Shantz.
Forever missed by her furry companions, Lillie & Bailey.
Linda was a dedicated member of Sprucedale United Church for many years and a member of the Friendship Club. She worked many places throughout Chatham-Kent while raising her family. Linda was a loving person, always making sure everyone knew around her how much she loved them and Sunday dinners were very important to her. She enjoyed her countless shopping trips to the States with her family, mostly purchasing for family and loved ones. She found joy in decorating for each upcoming holiday. Linda’s loving heart will be forever missed by her family.
Family to receive friends on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham from 10:00 am until a Celebration of Linda’s life at 12:00 pm. Burial to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
In memory of Linda, donations may be made to Sprucedale United Church.
