It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Lou Legassie on September 28, 2024 at the age of 76. Linda was born on February 22, 1948 in Chipman, NB.
Linda was predeceased by her husband Merton Legassie and parents James and Dorothy Hay.
She was a devout member of the Fundamental Baptist House of Worship where she acted and treasurer and gained many friends.
Her hobbies included gardening, puzzles and bowling. Some of her fondest memories included biking and boating with her husband Merton, her trip to New York City with her daughter Sheila and attending the Johnny Reid concert with her son Jeff.
Linda was a very special woman to many. She had a great sense of humour a generous nature and loving heart. She was kind to everybody, and she loved nothing more than spending time with family/friends, whether it be shopping, out for a drive, visiting or just sitting outside and enjoying the day together. Linda’s departure leaves an unfillable void in many lives, but they can find comfort in the memories and love they shared with her.
Linda is survived by her son Jeffrey (Angela), her daughter Sheila (Jeff), grandsons Gary, Matthew (Holly) and Brandon, granddaughters Treva, Christie (Matt), Gina and April, great grandsons, Charlie, Gage, Zefram and Arist, sisters Beverly (Raymond), Carolyn, Kathy (Joe), brothers Larry (Wenda), Lowell (Susan), Brian (Susan), Kevin (Debbie), stepdaughters Lora-Lee, Treva, Joan and many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive comfort at the Chipman Funeral Home (28 Northrup Drive) on Monday, September 30, 2024 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm. A graveside service will be held at the Red Bank United Church Cemetery on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 11:00 am.
Donations in Memory of Linda made to the IWK or the charity of choice is appreciated by her family.
