At her home, after a lengthy battle with cancer, in Alexandria on Thursday, November 23, 2023. Mary Linda Dashney of Alexandria; age 66 years. Beloved partner of Terry Smith. Much loved daughter of Shirley Dashney (nee Burton). Caring sister to Joyce Dashney, and Donald Dashney (Susan Dinan). Cherished aunt of Jason, Laura, Kaitlyn, and Brandon; great-aunt of Mason, Addison and Jace. Predeceased by her father John Dashney and nephew Anthony. Funeral arrangements under the care and direction of the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772). As per Linda’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment of cremated remains in the Kenyon Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Dunvegan at a later date. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the OSPCA or animal shelter of your choice would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Linda a tree will be planted in a memory woods.
