April 21, 1949 – December 20, 2023

Linda Margaret Catherine Lawler Bishop passed peacefully away at the age of 74 at the Leonard A. Miller Center on December 20, 2023.
Predeceased by her father, Patrick Lawlor; mother, Eileen Lawlor (nee O’Flarity); brothers, Edward and Kenneth Lawlor.
Leaving to mourn the love of her life, Tyrone Burton; daughter and best friend, Tara Chafe; special son-in-law, Nelson Chafe; son, Darrell Bishop (Lisa); and cherished granddaughter, Pandora Bishop. Linda also leaves many many dear friends, neighbors and family to mourn for her loss. Some special mentions are: Lucy Stoyles, Maxine Mercer, Liz Callahan, Jeanne Boland and Linda Dean, her many nursing and Mary Kay friends too many to list.
Linda was so proud of her long successful career as a RN at the Health Science Center for 34 years.
As the president of the Save our People Action committee (SOOAC) she advocated to make the roadways in Newfoundland safer Against moose vehicle collisions. Working alongside with the Government of Newfoundland I know the future will be safer because of the work she put in and the Connections she made.
We know your life on Earth was troubled and only you could know the pain you weren’t afraid to face the devil and you were no stranger to the rain. You were pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie And now you can go rest high on that mountain Linda your work on earth is done, I wish I could see the angel’s faces when they hear your sweet voice sing.
Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Friday, December 22nd from 2 p.m – 5 p.m and 6 p.m – 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 23rd from Caul’s Chapel at 10 a.m with inurnment to follow at Belvedere Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice. Linda’s favorites were the grotto in Renews, palliative care unit of LA Miller center where she was treated like the angel she was and of course SOPAC.
