It is with much sadness and broken hearts that we announce the death of Lillian Louise (Guerrier) Mortensen, On Friday December 29, 2023, at Carleton Manor in Woodstock at the age of 79.
Lillian was born in Saint John NB on March 4th, 1944, to the late Roland and Fern (Buxton) Guerrier of Simonds NB.
Lillian is survived by her daughter, Shelley McHatten (William), sons, Brian Mortensen (Patty), Brent Mortensen (Arlene), Scott Mortensen (Chala), seven grandchildren, Alisha (Scott), Shenae (Charles), Tegan, Tyler (Gina), Olivia (Conner), Sydney, Riley, five great grandchildren, Jacob, Parker, Kaylee, Adalind, Waylon brother Larry Guerrier (Veronica) , in-laws Chester Mortensen, Dale Fox (Val), Eric Mortensen (Resa), Freddie Mortensen, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Floyd in 2021.
Lillian could make bread and pies like nobody’s business; she loved and took care of many animals that were brought home. She kept an immaculate house, loved doing laundry, if you took it off it was gone to the wash.
The family want to thank all the staff of Glen Arbour at Carleton Manor for the 7 months of amazing care of their mother. Also, to the Doctors at Upper River Valley Hospital and especially Alexa.
Visitation will be held on Thursday January 4 at Carleton Funeral Home from 2 until 3, Funeral service will be held at 3PM, Interment will be held in the spring at the Upper Waterville Cemetery.
If so desired donations can be made to the Upper Waterville Cemetery in Lillians memory.
