«I Have
Tried»
I have tried to share
another’s load
And ease another’s
pain
I have tried to soothe a
troubled soul
I feel life has not been in
vain.
I have tried to cheer
another’s heart
And create a little
smile
And tried to calm
another’s fear
I feel life has been worth
while.
I have tried to say a tender
word
And dry another’s
tears
Also showed someone a little
love
When I was needed there.
Many times I have rendered a
helping hand
Through times of care and
strife
I feel I have done a little
good
And made the most of
life.
