It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Lillian Harris. She was surrounded by her loving family on Thursday January 11, 2024, at Lakeland Long Term Care in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Graeme Harris. Sweet and loving mother to Don (Nora), Steve (late Trish), Dave (Debbie), Treacy (Jann), and the late Graeme Jr. Loving Nana to Brad, Andrew, Brooke, Britt, April, Alicia, Kristian, Alana, Riley and Christopher. Survived by her brother Art Harris, and her sisters Eleanor Kavanagh and Colleen Oliver. Predeceased by her siblings; Irene Gloade, Percy Harris and Ethel Boudreau.
Lillian better known as “Lill” from Lill’s Place may have been small in stature but made up for it in her larger-than-life personality and her commitment to her family. She will be fondly remembered in this community for her delicious baked goods and home style meals served in her family’s restaurant.
The family would like to extend a very heartfelt thank you to the staff at Lakeland Long Term Care. Cremation entrusted to Torrance Funeral Home (89 Bowes Street, Parry Sound). Private family graveside service will take place at Foley Cemetery in the Spring.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to The Ontario Alzheimer’s Society Research program would be appreciated by the family.
