Passed peacefully away at Lakeside Homes on Tuesday, June 4th,2024, Leonie (Pinsent) Hollett (nee Stoyles) of Gander, formerly of Grand Falls and Clarenville. She was born on October 5th, 1922, to James and Blanche Stoyles of Northern Bight Station, Trinity Bay.
Predeceased by her parents,Husbands Maxwell Pinsent and Clarence Hollett, brothers Lester and Alfred, sister Marguerite, niece Carol, nephews Keith, Dennis, Max, Peter, Rick, and Geoff.
Left to mourn with many wonderful memories, are her sister Ruth, brother Ray, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and two step daughters.
A big thank you to Oram’s Bethesda Manor 1 for taking good care of her over the past four years. She really enjoyed her time there, and meeting so many wonderful people. Thank you to those who would stop by to visit or check on her when she could no longer get around. She really appreciated your help and concern.
A special thank you to Dr. Auhida and Dr. Isaac, and all the doctors, nurses, and paramedics in ER, Medical and General Surgery at James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre, who were so patient and kind, and took great care of her during her many visits over the past year.
Special thanks to the wonderful nursing staff at Lakeside Homes, who were so gentle and attentive to her during her final week. Your kindness and compassion will not be forgotten.
Visitation will take place at Central Funeral Homes, Grand Falls-Windsor, on Monday, June 10th, from 11:30am to 1:30pm, with funeral service to follow at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA.
