It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Leonard Jewell of Barrie, and formerly Oneida Nation of the Thames in his 83rd year on Sunday, March 26th, 2023.
Beloved husband of the late Reva Jewell (2011). Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his children Allen (Gwen Johnston-Jewell), Angela, Shelly, Anthony, Donnie (Donna Evans), Darren, Lynn Jewell-Hammie (Troy Hammie), and Lee Dennis. Proud Papa of 21 grandchildren, Alanah, Shaelynn, Matthew, Christie, Jade, Zack, Brittney, Skyla Jewell, Angel, Alan Johnston, Amanda Coull, Andrea Tripp, Shawn Alexander, Meegan, Breenan Evans, Emily Bourne, and Grace Reed and 14 great grandchildren, Odin, Hayden Jewell, Spencer, Hadley White, T’jaiyah, Tiana, Taniyah Monroe, Riley Johnston, Johnny, Nova, Willow Coull, Aurora, Phoenix, and Sirius Evans. Dear brother of Sandy, Bill, Russel, Melita Jewell-Sparks, Terry, Debbie and the late Betty. Survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Family will receive friends at the Longhouse, River Road, Oneida on Saturday, April 1st from 2 – 7pm where the Celebration of Leonard’s life will be held Sunday, April 2nd commencing at 11am.
