Leon’s Obituary
Born in Hay River (NWT), Leon Ronald Charles Nessel adopted the Peace Country to be his home. Residing in Berwyn (AB), Leon passed away in Brownvale (AB) on February 25th, at 60 years of age.
Leon is predeceased by his father Howie Nessel; step father Julian Noga; brother Raymond Nessel; and, sister Marlisse Planidin.
He is survived by his mother Laura Noga; children Brandi, Blake, Zane; sisters Cindy, Kathy, Linda; brothers Gregory and Mathew; grandchildren Mason, Jacie, Ryker, Sebia, Aiden and Mia.
Leon was happiest when he was out at his cabin listening to tunes or spending time with his children and ‘grandbears’. He cherished his children, grandchildren and mother the most in the world.
He will surely be missed and be remembered for the character he was by anyone who got the chance to know him. We love you, and we’ll see you on the other side.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date for close family and friends.
