With heavy hearts and immense sadness, we announce the passing of our loving husband, father and grandfather, Lemuel P. Reid, of Dildo, age 68 years.
Predeceased by his son Philip; parents Walter and Clara Reid; brothers Walter (Bub), Wesley and Ricky; father-in-law Wilbur Smith; brother-in-law Gilbert Newhook; and nephew Gordon Jarvis.
Leaving to mourn with broken hearts are his loving & devoted wife of 43 years, Brenda; son Tyler (Jennifer); precious grandsons Philip, Riley and Lucas; Philip’s mom Jackie, and her son Thomas; sister Gladys Newhook; brothers Gerald (Mary) and Max (Betty); mother-in-law Berdina Smith; brother-in-law Mervale (Eileen); sisters-in-law Joyce, Gloria and Denise (Mike); special friends Howard & Cindy Smith and Glenn & Sameena Tucker; as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.
Lemuel was known for his welcoming nature, kindness, love of music and his outstanding community service. He loved to see people coming for a visit, the more the merrier. He was a lifelong member of the Community 5 Lions Club. Whenever help was needed, Lemuel was always there.
Visitation will be held from Warren’s Funeral Home, Dildo, on Sunday, December 15, 2024, from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 pm and on Monday, December 16, 2024, from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 pm.
A funeral service will be held from All Saint’s Anglican Church, Dildo, on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at 2:00 pm. Interment to follow at All Saint’s Anglican Cemetery, Dildo.
