廣東新會人，三三年生於廣西懷集．戰後隨家人到香港定居。
婚後育有一子（啟恩）一女（得恩）。六零年到八零年間曾在製衣廠工作。
一九八四年移民加拿大，對愛民頓的環境和天氣都很滿意。她喜歡學習廚藝，常常手拿食譜來研究。疫情期間更學會看you-tube.
初到Edmonton 還沒有自己的聖堂．看著聖堂成長，搬遷。她對堂區感情很深，積極參與各項活動如復活節和聖誕節後的potluck, 朝聖，新春嘉年華。深受主内兄弟姊妹愛戴。
It is with deep sorrow and much love that the family of Lee-Sim Chu announces the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully surrounded by family. Lee Sim passed away on October 8, 2023, at the age of 90 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, John (Molly) and Margaret; grandchildren, Brian (Laura), Laura (Michael) and Daniel; great-granddaughters, Victoria and Evelyn.
Lovingly remembered as “Mama Chu”, Lee Sim will be dearly missed by her church family at Mary Help of Christians Chinese Catholic Parish.
A Prayer Vigil will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 10011-114 Street NW, Edmonton, Alberta. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 20, 2023, at Mary Help of Christians Chinese Catholic Church, 10149 – 119 Street NW, Edmonton, Alberta.
