SEGALOWITZ, Helena – Leah (Helena) Segalowitz 98, passed away on August 25, 2023. Leah was born in Holland, married her husband Chaim z»l in Cypress and then lived in Israel, Montreal and Toronto. A beloved mother to Elizabeth, grandmother (Oma) to Elliot Sokolsky and Aviva and Lorne Morein, and great- grandmother to Summer Morein. She will be sorely missed but remembered with so much love. Leah was a nurse from the depths her soul and spent her lifetime taking care of others. Caring for people in need and her of love of Israel were her passions. She spent her life fueled by both. The family would like to thank all the staff at Baycrest for all their love and caring. During her time there she was an advocate for those who could not speak for themselves. She was dearly beloved by both the staff and residents who became her extended family. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. in the Community section of Pardes Shalom Cemetery, 10953 Dufferin Street, Vaughan.
