Leah Margaret Greenan
1952-2024
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Leah
Margaret Greenan at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown,
PE.
Leah was the daughter of Leo and
Marie (Cummings) Greenan. She was born in Summerside and lived in many
areas due to her father’s work. She eventually settled in
West Royalty.
She began her work career at the
National Bank and stayed for 31 years, then moved on to work with the
provincial government.
Leah enjoyed travelling until health
issues prevented her from doing so.
She loved being
outdoors and doing her flowerbeds and yard work.
Her cats
were very special to her and she really missed not having any over the
last couple of years, when her health declined.
Leah was
always saying how grateful she was for her friendship with her
neighbours. She was very close to Cecil and Barb, and felt over the
years they were a big part of the reason she was able to stay in her
much beloved home.
She was always glad to see Ruby coming
over to visit and enjoyed her biscuits very much and giving treats to
her dog Boo.
Leah enjoyed staying in touch with her family
from Up West, both when she could make the trip or they dropped in to
her home.
She had a number of friends she made through work
and play and was very grateful for the help they provided over the
last few years.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral
Home. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2024 from
St. Pius X Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. No visitation by personal
request. Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery.
