In Loving Memory of Lawrence (Bud) Miller
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lawrence (Bud) Miller,
on November 20th, 2023, at the age of 67.
Born in Drumheller, Alberta, Bud was lovingly raised by his parents, George and Norma Miller, in Kyle, Saskatchewan.
Bud is survived by his two adoring sisters, Bonnie and Diane, who shared in the joys and
challenges of life with their beloved brother. On July 10, 1993, Bud married the love of his
life, Karen Bailey, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished
moments. They welcomed their two children, Brandon and Sarah, who were the light of
Bud’s life.
Bud’s devotion to his family was unmatched; he was the epitome of an incredible father,
and a loving husband. Every day, he made sure to express his adoration for his family,
leaving them with a wealth of beautiful memories that will endure forever. His warm smiles,
constant words of love, and unwavering support defined him as a pillar of strength for his
family.
Bud had a zest for life that was infectious. His charismatic personality and quick wit made
him the funniest human you could ever meet, leaving a lasting impression on the hearts of
all who knew him. Beyond his family, Bud’s love and support extended to his friends. He was
an outstanding friend and truly treasured those in his life.
A passionate sports enthusiast, Bud was an avid supporter of the Calgary Flames. His
enthusiasm and loyalty to his team were evident to all who shared in his love for hockey.
As we mourn the loss of Bud Miller, let us remember the joy he brought into our lives, the
love he shared unconditionally, and the laughter that echoed in our hearts. May his memory
be a source of comfort, and may we find solace in the knowledge that his spirit will forever
live on in the moments we shared with him.
A celebration of Bud’s life will be held on a date in the soon future, we will update
accordingly. When the time comes, we’d love it if you would join us in remembering and
honouring this remarkable man.
