It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of Laurie Alayne Champeau on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at the age of 51. Predeceased by her mother and father Nancy (July 2023) and Stan Champeau (May 2012) and sister Vicky Ayhart (July 2007). You will be missed by your sister Carrie Ayhart (Chris Mackay), Uncle Robert Turner, Aunt Janice Turner, partner Robert Crawford, step-daughter Bobbie-Jo Ouellette and niece Taylor Oakes-Crawford and lovingly remembered by many other family members and friends.
Laurie always loved and treasured her dogs, especially her last one JJ who was by her side when she left us. She fought through many challenges throughout her life and was taken far too soon, but knowing that she is now back in the arms of her family gives all of us left behind some peace. Laurie, we hope that your passing will bring some good. and will help others find the strength to go to the light and life before it is too late.
In lieu of flowers, anyone wishing to make a donation in Laurie’s name can donate to CMHA Mental Health and Addictions Urgent Care Centre.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd E. 519-253-7234. As per Laurie’s wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Online condolences and cherished memories can be shared at www.windsorchapel.com
