SAINT-IGNACE-DE-KENT, NB – Laurie Johnson 88, of
St-Ignace passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris Hospital in
Ste-Anne-de-Kent on Wednesday, June 5, 2024. Born in
St-Ignace, he was the son of the late Narcisse Johnson and late
Yvonnice (Allain) Johnson.
Laurie will be sadly missed by his five sisters, Sr. Yvette
Johnson CND of Montreal, Jeannette Johnson of St-Ignace, Yvonne
Pellerin (Tony) of Moncton, Roberte Guimond (Paul) of St. Louis,
Jacinthe Johnson of St-Ignace; three brothers, Donald Johnson
(Camilla), Yvon Johnson, Camille Johnson (Marielle) all of St-Ignace;
brothers-in-law, Arthur Poirier of Saint John, Alphée
Thebeau of St-Ignace and many nieces and
nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters,
Marie, Jacqueline and four brothers, Claude, Bernard, Edgar and
Leo-Paul.
Visitation will be held on Thursday beginning at 9:00 am
until departure for the service at Thompson Memorial Home in
Saint-Louis-de-Kent. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on
Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 11:00 am at the St. Ignace de Loyola Roman
Catholic Church.
The family wish to express a sincere thank you to the staff
at the Stella Maris Hospital Palliative Care Unit, Dr. Patrice Landry
and Dr. Pierre Leblanc for the kind and compasionate care given to
Laurie.
