With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our Laurie Anne Eno at the St. Francis Memorial Hospital on July 18, 2023. As she did often in life, Laurie follows her parents Mickey and Marian who passed in 2021, forever watching us just out of sight.
Laurie is survived by her loving siblings Susan, Michael, Jamie and Mary-Jane, who will miss her with all their hearts. She is and always will be mom to Jenny and Becky and grandma to Furbaby Bo. Aunt Laurie to Ali, Leanna, Jackie, Dylan and Anna. She will always be Cousin Laurie to her many cousins at the lake.
Laurie was born and raised in Oshawa Ontario. She followed in her dad’s shadow and developed an affinity for mechanics and her own love of numbers; she might have forgot your name but she never forgot your number. After high school she had many jobs, but loved her positions in the Parts Departments of GM and Ford. In the 80’s it was a male dominated industry and she fought hard to be taken seriously, but with her mom Marian as her role model, she became a force to be reckoned with and excelled in her position. She retired to the farm to raise her 2 children as a single mom and to take care of her elderly parents. To those who knew Laurie she was self-less and did everything for her family. She was kind, out-spoken and had no fear when it came to sharing her thoughts. She was also an animal lover and loved her metal detecting, researching and had a natural love for writing and a fluent way with words.
Her final days were spent laughing and surrounded by love where she finally had someone take care of her and to experience what we all felt under her loving care. We know you are still watching us Laurie and that you will be there to guide us in the next life. We love you Laurie.
