It is with a mixture of sorrow and gladness that the family of Laura Miller announce her passing
Sunday evening at Renfrew’s Bonnechere Manor at the age of 72. She left this world peacefully
and painlessly with the caring help of the Manor’s affectionate staff and with her daughter and
her sister Della by her side.
Laura was the loved and protected wife of the late Jimmy Allan Miller. Daughter of the late
Walter and Thelma Smith of Portage-du-Fort. She left behind her daughter Kerrie Rose, her
son-in-law Pete Rose and their children Garrett and Ethan.
Laura’s life was plagued with mental illness that eventually made it impossible for her to
continue to work outside the home. But that didn’t stop her from loving her family or sharing
her kind smiles. It also didn’t take away her pleasure in playing bingo or cards.
We extend our many thanks to the staff at the Bonnechere Manor for the years of love and care
they have shown her.
Zohr Family Funeral Home will be helping arrange a burial at the Goshen Cemetery on
September 16, 2023. A celebration of life will follow immediately after at the Renfrew Legion at
3:00 pm.
Those feeling a need to donate may do so to either the Bonnechere Manor Foundation or to
Hospice Renfrew.
