Obituary of Latchman «Churchill» Shiwnath
Latchman Shiwnath (Churchill), aged 73, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones at Juravinski Hospital on Sunday, August 4th, in Hamilton, Ontario.
Churchill was an incredibly loving and happy man who adored his family with his whole heart. He was the beloved father of Natasha Singh (Naresh), Kumar Latchman (Miranda), and Chris Latchman. Cherished Pa to Chanel, Angelina, Alex, Alyssa, and Arianna. He was adored by Rocky and Axel.
Churchill was born and raised in Bath Estate, Guyana, to his loving parents Pai and Mai. He is survived by his dear sisters, Blossom and Lilly, and predeceased by his brothers Buddy, Milton, Deo, and his sisters Kanchan, Looney, and Queen.
Churchill was a hardworking man and was the first person to build an autobody mechanic shop in Bath Settlement, Guyana. There, he spent his years working in that shop, later moving to Suriname to work as a heavy machine operator. In the later years of his career, he worked as a security guard for Blairmont Sugar Estate.
Our beloved father loved to play and watch cricket, as well as many other sports. Churchill enjoyed the best things that life has to offer. He loved to sing to his favorite Bollywood music, and although he loved to sing, he was a natural dancer who brought everyone around him to dance and enjoy the music and the company of one another.
Our beloved father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and cousin – your happy aura, joyous presence, knowledge, wisdom, and cheerful conversation will be cherished and deeply missed forever. You are in our hearts forever, and until we meet again.
