Obituary
Larry died unexpectedly at Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound on Friday, May 26, 2023. Born June 16, 1967 in Orangeville, Larry Glenn Manley of Presqui’ile, Georgian Bluffs, was in his 56th year.
Loving partner of Penni Wright. Dearly remembered by his sister Kathy (Myles) Ware and brothers John (Lynn) Manley and Gord Manley. Special uncle of Jeremy (Shannon), Nikki-Dawn (Matt) and Zane and great-nieces and nephews. Dearly missed by his parents-in-law Herb and Beulah Wright and his siblings-in-law Patti Wright-Koeslag (Bill Koeslag deceased) and Brad and Corinna Wright. Penni’s nieces and nephews Paige Koeslag, Eric Koeslag, Brendin (Hailey) Wright, Mackenzie Wright and Josolyn (Tyler) Weir will fondly remember Larr Bear. Predeceased by his parents Glenn and Mildred (nee Kirk) Manley and his brothers Gary Manley and Brian Manley.
Larry aka the Mayor of Presqu’ile, was a super friendly, kind man who was jack-of-all trades. He always was willing to help out anyone with whatever was needed. He enjoyed socializing and will be greatly missed by his close friends Jim and Marty, Bob and Silvia, Pete, Glenn and Julie-Ann, co-workers at Wiarton Bluffs Golf Club and many friends, neighbours and extended family members. He will be missed by his faithful feline companion Uppie.
A Celebration of Life for Larry Manley will be held at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th Street West, Owen Sound, 519 376-7492 on Friday, June 2, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. with David Fries officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, June 2, 2023 from 12:00 noon until time of service. Funeral live stream available via www.woodfuneralhome.ca.
Memorial donations to the Presqu’ile Rotary Camp of Owen Sound or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
