L. Winston “Winse” Carter
1940 – 2023
Lloyd Winston “Winse” Carter of Kouchibouguac, NB passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on January 17, 2023 at the age of 82.
Born in Kouchibouguac, on December 30, 1940, he was the son of the late Simon Firth and Edith (Randall) Carter.
Winse was a woods worker by occupation and truly loved and enjoyed farming and having animals. He had a very kind and generous heart and was willing to help anyone at any time. Winse lived in Kouchibouguac all of his life and was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Kouchibouguac.
Winston is survived by his sisters: Noreen Gardiner and Edna Flanaghan; brothers: Charlie Carter (Thelma) and Edward Carter (Joan); many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, brother, Kenneth Carter, sisters: Marion Smith, Barbara Tweedie, Alice Peterson and Marie Colpitts, sister-in-law, Lorna Carter, brothers-in-law: Clayton Smith, Irvin Colpitts, James Tweedie, Curtis Peterson, Joseph Gardiner and Lloyd Flanagan.
Visitation will occur at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi on Monday, January 23, 2023 from 12-1 pm with funeral service to follow at 1 pm at Adams Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brent Carter officiating. Interment will be in the Tweedie Brook Cemetery later in the spring.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
