It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kristen Jean MacFarlane, with her loving family at her side, at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on Monday October 9th, 2023, at the age of 45 years. Cherished daughter of Wendy Whittal (Lloyd) and the late Terry MacFarlane (Christine). Beloved mother of Gabriella, the light of Kristen’s life. Dear sister of Jason MacFarlane and his wife Sofia of Stoney Point and Lyndsie Copeland and her husband Joel of Chatham. Kristen was an amazing aunt to Avri, Collin, Landon, Keaten and Harper. She will be missed by her aunts, uncles, and cousins. She will be missed by her dear friend Dwayne Snyder.
Kristen had a smile that would light up a room and an infectious laugh. She was one of the most compassionate people you would ever meet, and always cared for others before herself. We will miss her deeply. “Wherever a beautiful soul has been there is a trail of beautiful memories…”.
Family and friends are invited to the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home, 245 Wellington St. West, Chatham, 519-352-2710 Friday October 13th, 2023, with visiting from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be conducted from the chapel of the funeral home on Saturday October 14th, 2023, at 11:00 am with Pastor Michael Koppes officiating. Cremation to follow with interment at a later date. Friends planning an expression of remembrance are asked to consider the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation and Crohn’s and Colitis Canada.
