Obituary
Douglas Garnet King passed away peacefully with his loving daughter by his side at Chapman House on November 21,2023.
Doug was born on May 18,1945 in Owen Sound, ON, and was in his 79th year.
Doug will be fondly remembered by his beloved wife and best friend Donna Ruth (nee Miner). Dad to Troy King (Irma), Tracylee King and Trevor King. Cherished grandpa to Ashley Taylor (Mark), Tiesha King (TJ), Julia Francoeur (Liam), and Alex Francoeur. Loving great grandpa to Rielly, Spencer and Hollis. Brother-in-law to Sandra Oliver (the late Cliff Oliver) and Nora Summers (formerly-King) (the late Bob King and the late Jim Summers). Predeceased by his parents Roy and Muriel King, Infant brother Terry, his grandson Matthew Taylor and his furry friend Winston. Doug will be missed by great friends and neighbours, Ken and Marion Goldsmith and his family, Ray McCartney (the late Ev) and family, Brian and Faith Thompson of Kilsyth.
You are invited to join a memorial service held on Tuesday November 28th, 2023, at 11am at Brian E. Woods Funeral Home 250 14th St West, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, with reception to follow.
