It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kilmer Joseph Hagen, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, on November 23rd, 2024.
Born in New Glasgow, Prince Edward Island, and raised in North Rustico before moving to British Columbia. Kilmer lived a life defined by dedication, kindness, and service to his family and community.
Predeceased by his cherished wife, Irene Patricia Ann Hagen (née MacDonald), Kilmer leaves behind a loving legacy through his children, Kilmer Edwin Hagen and Katrina Marie Hansen, and his treasured grandchildren, Kya Hansen and Korben Hansen.
Kilmer spent many years as a skilled mechanic before dedicating most of his career as the Service Manager at Salmon Arm Motors. Known for his integrity and expertise, he was a respected and trusted figure among colleagues and customers alike.
Beyond his work, Kilmer was deeply committed to his community. He played an active role in supporting minor hockey in Salmon Arm and was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, demonstrating his passion for giving back to those around him.
Those who knew Kilmer will remember his helpful nature, unwavering dedication, and friendly demeanor. His sharp sense of humor and warm smile brought joy to everyone he met, and his legacy of kindness and laughter will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
A celebration of Kilmer’s life will be held December 12th at 10:30 am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Salmon Arm, BC, where friends and loved ones are invited to honor and remember the incredible man he was.
He will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him
