Obituary
It is with great sadness we announce the sad and sudden passing of Kevin William Renton due to a massive stroke at age 62 years. Loving son of Maureen and the late David Renton. Cherished and devoted husband of Shari (nee Little). Dear father of Claire Irwin (Clayton), Cassandra Gobbee (Joseph), Carson Little (Phoebe), Kyle Renton and (special niece) Alexandria Renton. Proud Grandpa of the late angel, Vienna Rose Irwin. Another wee grandbaby expected in October was already so loved by Papa Kev. Loved brother of the late David Renton Jr. (d.2015) Special brother in-law to Shelley Klintworth and Scott Turner. Much loved son in-law of Doreen Little and the late Ross. Wonderful Uncle of Brandon (Amanda), Travis (Katelyn) and Kari. Cherished bonus nephew of Georgie and Brian MacWhirter, and the late Bill Niven. Dear nephew of Sandy Renton and Ann Renton of Scotland, along with many cousins in his UK Homeland and Brian Larkin here in Canada. Kevin came with his parents to live in Canada from Bannockburn, Scotland as a wee boy in 1966 as his parents made a new life for their family. Kevin grew up in different neighbourhoods in Scarborough where he formed his decades long friendships with Steve French, Kim Parry, and Dale Reynolds. He became an athletic teen, focused mostly on hockey where he achieved playing for the Toronto Young Nationals. His love of nature and country got him out of the city, and he eventually made his way here in 1987.He was a dedicated, hard worker for different companies with his sheet metal trade, but Lakeland Multitrade, Cobourg, is where he stayed for 23 years, etching out deep friendships with great guys like Jack Rutherford, Charles Hall, Carl Tinney, Ken Hiltz, Todd Greer, Jake George and Craig Davey, among others. He loved working close to home, giving up the 401 commute. Kevin had retired this past spring, keeping himself busy doing little renovation jobs. He «loved his life» and said it often. Kevin passed the best of himself on to his children. His love of nature, music, sports, and water can be seen in each of them. Cassandra and Claire both married kind, wonderful men much like their dad in so many ways. Carson is drawn to nature and water where he now makes his living, and Kyle to his natural talent for music, love of the outdoors and hands-on work. Kevin was so proud to see his children do well and become great people. His true and genuine nature will live on in them.

Friends and family may gather for final good-byes at Bewdley Community Centre on Sat. Sept. 9th at 1:00 p.m. for a Celebration of Life Service with a light lunch following. In Sorrow and Disbelief.
