It is with great sorrow that the family announces his passing in Sudbury on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at the age of 61 years old. Son of the late Nelson Chalut and late Winora ‘Annie’ (nee Hollis) Brown. Beloved husband of Ellen (nee Bogensbeger) Chalut. Loving father of Dave (Jenn), Jen (Kevin), Kye (Jami), Lindley (Cody). Dear brother of David (Vivian), Marion, Mike (Lorraine), Cathy (predeceased), Charlie (predeceased). Best Papa there ever was to Cameron, Abigail, Kalen and Jaiden and Kayleigh. He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and his Tilton Lake Crew.
He leaves behind a legacy of craftsmanship, having poured his heart into creating their dream home on Tilton Lake and building saunas, decks and docks that will forever echo with the warmth of his love for his family and friends.
He’ll be remembered for his unmatched work ethic and his eagerness to help anyone and everyone, giving of himself freely. His love, dedication and passion for his family, friends and work will never be matched. Kevin was happiest on his boat with the the love of his life, Ellen, his Rockstar and anyone else who came aboard.
In keeping with Kevin’s wishes there will be no visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and if you’ve read to this point he’d like you to know it’s currently Beer O’Clock. CHEERS!
