It is with great sadness the family of Kenneth Walter Murphy announces his passing on August 27, 2023 after a brief illness at the age of 100. Son of the late William and Evelyn May. Reunited with his loving wife and best friend of 72 years Isobel (nee Gordon). Cherished father of Deb Vitek (Don), Kevin Murphy and the late Lori-Ann Murphy. Beloved grandfather of Tiffany Francis (Roger), Tim Vitek (Shannon) and the late Tara Lynn Vitek-Ciarma (the late Rudy Ciarma). Great grandfather “G G Pa” of Pierce and Preston Francis, Joseph Donald (J.D) and Caralina Ciarma and Bennett and Cameron Vitek.
Ken loved to travel and spend time woodworking creating his one of a kind jewellery boxes. The family wish to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Copper Terrace Long Term Care Facility, special mention to the staff on 2 East for all their support during this difficult time.
If you so desire, donations to Community Living Windsor or Chatham Kent Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
Visitation on Friday September 1, 2023 from 3-7pm.
Funeral Service on Saturday September 2, 2023 at 10am at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841.
Interment at Victoria Memorial Gardens to follow.
