It is with broken hearts the family of Kenneth «Kenny» Louis Collrin announce his passing on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Maureen Collrin for over 44 years. He will be dearly missed by his son John Collrin and daughter Melanie Collrin (David Smith), by his grandchildren Reilley (Emileigh), Alley and Brooklyn and his great-granddaughter Charleigh. Kenny will also be missed by his sisters Debbie MacLean (Lennus), Diana Melvin (Ross), Linda Campbell (Brian), Doreen Page (David) and Patsy Robison (Darren) as well as his brothers-in-law Brian Murray (Darlene), Kevin Murray (Imelda) and the late Mitch Murray (Alice) and sisters-in-law Marilyn Clark (Ernest) and Wendy Duguay (Roland), special friends Amanda Lucas, Johnny Miller and Ashley Nason and of course his special pets Simon and Sally Ann. Kenny is predeceased by his parents Geraldine and Leroy Collrin and his nephews Jeret & Ryan Melvin. He will also be dearly missed by many other family members and friends. Kenny was a proud member of the local 131 and worked for Guildford’s for over 20 years. Kenny was a family man, he loved his family. He loved cars, playing proline, travelling to the Caribbean, watching all sports, and coaching youth basketball and football. Kenny played high school football and basketball and baseball for the Golden Lions. Food was his love language, he loved to cook and make sure people were fed. He will be forever remembered for his world famous potatoe salad.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (506-646-2424). In keeping with Ken’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received on Monday, October 28th, 2024 from 4-8 PM. A Celebration of his life will take place on Tuesday, October 29th, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel. Donations to the SPCA would be greatly appreciated by the family.
