With sadness, the family announces that Ken passed away peacefully in hospital on December 07, 2023, with family by his side, after an over two year battle with cancer. Brother to Dwayne and Sharon, as well as Mary (Joe), Wilfred, Bill (Ann), John (Joanne), Stewart, Lydia (Mike), Andrew (Jess), Daniel. Predeceased by his father Abraham, mother Helena, and stepfather Harry. Survived by his wife Christina, daughters Stepfanie (Drew), and Rebecca (Kristi). Proud Opa to his fur-grandson Hunter. He will be fondly remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Ken was born in Winnipeg MB in 1964, and moved to Brandon MB in 1969 where his family lived until moving to Ontario in 1980. He joyfully became a father to his two beautiful girls in 1989 and 1990. He had many jobs including farming, CP Rail, construction and most recently Minto. He could often be found relaxing on the deck at camp where he and Christina enjoyed spending as much time as possible. He reluctantly needed to stop work, yet he remained positive and hopeful during his battle. Unfortunately he succumbed to his illness. Special thanks to the many palliative care staff at the Ottawa General Hospital who provided exceptional care to Ken.
