Tibert, Kathy
Ann, age 65 of Pomquet, Antigonish County, passed away on July 11,
2023, at home.
Born in
Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Everett Tibert and Ellen
Fisher.
In her
younger years, Kathy had a free, nomadic spirit, but when she had her
children, her full dedication was to her family. She enjoyed
travel, cards, swimming, horseback riding, the outdoors, and her
dogs. Kathy was an excellent cook and baker, working at the
Maritime Inn and the CACL Bakery, and she made the best pizza you
would ever eat. Kathy had a set way of doing things, and she
had an untouchable work ethic and a devilish sense of
humour.
She is
survived by her daughter, Chyane Peace Thiessen, Fort McMurray, AB;
son, Jebb Everett Tibert, Antigonish; grandchildren, Gaberila and
Keenan; siblings, Ronald B. Tibert, Liscombe; Wendylynn Carlisle,
Florida; and Kimberley Tibert, Pomquet.
Predeceased by her sister, Marjorie
Thompson.
Visitation
will be held Wednesday from 2 to 4pm in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135
College Street, Antigonish. There is no public service
scheduled at this time.
