O’Reilly, Kathryn:
Passed away on September 3, 2024 at her home in Kitchener, ON at the age of 73.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Michael O’Reilly.
Loving mother of Rebecca (Adam) Powell and Tina (Jeff) Soundy.
Devoted grandmother to Charlie, Aurielle, Ozzy and Seth.
Will be greatly missed by her many siblings, Ruth Cluthe, Marg Martin, Renie Fronchak, Jean Leis, Edna Richardson, Alice Seidel, Linda Walz, as well as their spouses and children.
Predeceased by siblings Joan Litwiller, Mary Roth, and Billy, Dave, Ray, John, Shirley, and Eldon Boshart and parents Michael and Katie (Erb) Boshart. She wanted us to acknowledge the supportive role her siblings played in her young life after the early loss of her parents.
Kathy was also a loving and dedicated mom to her dogs Tommy and Emily with whom she will be reunited, and her kitty Peyton who is in the care of her family. She was enamoured with beautiful gardens and found joy in tending to them and watching them grow. She volunteered for many years at her children’s school, St Paul’s and was a loving stay-at-home mom. She loved to laugh with her many friends and she wished us to thank them and her family for being a part of her life.
Kathryn’s family will receive relatives and friends from 2:30 PM – 3:15 PM on Monday, September 9th, 2024 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A Memorial Service will take place in the chapel at 3:30 PM with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St Mary’s General Hospital Foundation- Cardiac Care Unit would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
