It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, G’MA,
Sister, Aunt and Companion. Kathy passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the Regina Pasqua Hospital on Thursday, February 15, 2024.
Kathy was predeceased by her parents Jessie & Patrick Rivers; our father, Alvin Ursulan; Sister, Patricia Anderson; and brother Al Rivers. She leaves behind her children Candise Piller (Wayne); Shelly Bahr (Rainer); Jason Ursulan and her beloved companion and best friend, Norman Latham; grandchildren, Darren Ursulan and Tyson Ursulan-Pyle. And siblings, Sister Eileen Paskaruk (Morris); Brothers Ken Rivers (Carol); Jerry Rivers (Nanci); Reg Rivers (Lori) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and beloved friends.
Kathy was born In Melville, SK on June 25, 1952. She met Alvin Ursulan and they were married in 1970. They lived near Quinton, SK on the family farm where they raised their family until 1987. She helped with the farm duties and worked at Engels in Quinton. She later moved to Regina, SK in 1990 where she worked part time, completed her GED and upgraded her skills at Reliance College of Business. She worked at Supreme Office products, then Ecco Supply until she retired in 2013.
Kathy’s happy place was in the kitchen, she loved cooking, baking and puttering in the yard & garden. She loved being outside, spending time with friends & family and was always up for a road trip or adventure. Kathy will be remembered as spitfire and wore her heart on her sleeve.
Until we meet again, we will cherish our memories and keep you close in our hearts.
Your loving embrace and warm smile will forever be remembered. You will be dearly missed, love you always. Rest easy.

A Celebration of Life and Interment will be held at St. Anthony’s Mausoleum located on the grounds of the Regina Funeral Home & Cemetery, 4001 East Victoria Avenue, Regina, Saskatchewan S4V 3A3 on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 1:00 p.m.
