Born in Dewiatyr, Ukraine, Karl died in Vancouver surrounded by the love of his family. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ballhorn, his 2 children, Mathew, Sonya (Joseph) and 2 grandsons – Nick and Stefan.
As a new immigrant from Ukraine in the 50’s, he was a hard worker, self-starter and a driven individual who believed in himself and became a successful businessman. He was a man of faith, loyalty and honesty with a strong commitment to his family and community. He loved hot winter holidays and had a passion for fishing in the Cariboo. He will be missed.
