It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our son, brother, uncle, and grandson Justin at the age of 32 years.
Justin is survived by his mother, Rhonda Starlight; brothers, DJ, Josh, Bobby JR, and Robert; Traditional father, Gilbert (Stephanie) Crowchild; siblings, Langdon, Kaylen, Jericho, Logan, Asayda, Nashtłishi Misa, Dina Shitła Xakiji, and Naaditoshi. Justin is also survived by his maternal grandfather Victor Starlight and paternal grandmother Regina Crowchild; nieces, Aaleah, Hazel, Joan, T.J, Tatem, god daughter Anna, Aurora, Caleigh, Jada, Rio, Reagan, Harmonie, Tayezlin, Teigan, Rory, Paisley, Maizie, Jayde, and Mabel; nephews, Cohen, Easton, Kovey, Paysen, JB, Royce, Daniel, Dennis, Bear, Rylie, Drey, Jace, Dax, Denny Jr, Jaxson, Xander, Bridger, Dash, and Deke; aunties, Leslie, Shelley, Jenny (Marcel), Leona (Chris), Jackie, Janice, Corrina (Wilf), and Mona; and his uncles, Glenn (Mary), James (Denise), Shawn, Bill, Greg, Chico, and Darrell.
Justin also had many sisters he often would turn to at times; sisters, Celeste (Ty), Tasha (Mike), Tiffany (Lyle), Tacey (Manny), Livia (Sherman), Sage, Keshia (Daniel), Erin (Denny), and Kyla; and his extended families Crowchild, Noel, Starlight, Meguinis (Two Guns), Creighton, Running Rabbit, Doore, McMaster, Big Crow and Big Plume. We apologize for anyone we missed as Justin comes from very big families also from Tsuut’ina, Sioux Valley, Siksika, Kainai, Maskwacis, and Morley.
Justin was predeceased by his father, Bob Noel, sister Candace, maternal grandmother Eleanor Starlight, paternal grandfather Walter Noel; uncles, Junior, Conrad and Sounder; cousins, Carla and Talon; aunties, Mabel, Lena, Sandra and Aileena; and his nephews, Tyreece, Traezlin and Billy.
Justin has a special love for all his nephews and nieces. He loved to watch them in their sports with a special love for hockey, football and baseball. He would always encourage them to give it all. His favorite teams were Montreal Canadiens, Dallas Cowboys and Toronto Blue Jays.
Wake Services will be held at the residence of Rhonda Starlight Tsuut’ina Nation, AB, on Sunday, February 12, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Spirit Catholic Church (10827 24 St SW, Calgary, AB) on Monday, February 13, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Tsuut’ina Cemetery (Tsuut’ina Nation, AB). Feast will be held at the residence of Rhonda Starlight (Tsuut’ina Nation, AB) immediately following the graveside. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
